Instructions for CAT EYES

Things You'll Need:

  • Three shades of eye shadow, dark, medium, and light
  • Pencil liner one shade darker than darkest shadow color
  • Medium shadow brush
  • Small shadow brush
  • Contour shadow brush
  • Mascara
  1. Step 1

With the medium shadow brush, apply the lightest shade all over the lid as a base. A shadow with a little shimmer will add depth and drama to the lighter shade.

  2. Step 2

Using the small shadow brush, apply your medium matte shadow from the lash line to the crease, blending softly. At the outer corner of the eye, bring the color out a little past the lid.

  3. Step 3

With the contouring brush, apply the darkest matte shade along the lash line and extend it out past the lid slightly, blending as you go. From the outer corner of your "cat-eye", bring the color back toward the inner corner of the eye along the crease. The color should be deepest near the corner of the eye and gradually fade out in a pointed shape.

  4. Step 4

With the medium brush, apply a highlight to the eye using the lightest shadow on the lid toward the inner corner of the eye.

  5. Step 5

Apply pencil liner all around eyes and smudge into shadow for a smoky look. For extra definition, line the inside of your lash line on the upper and lower lids. Finish with two coats of mascara
