Using Cover Ups [Concealers]

Dark circles can be caused by fatigue, poor circulation, and extra-thin skin under the eyes, hyper pigmentation or illness. Treating the cause will help keep dark circles from coming back. In the meantime, consider the following cover-up tactics:

We now have 3 shades of concealers Honey* Dark* and Expressso

Steps:

      1.

Select an under-eye concealer that's one shade lighter than the foundation you're using.

2.

Dab concealer under your eyes gently, using a soft circular motion.

3.

Apply foundation up to the concealer and blend the two shades together gently, using a circular motion.

 How to Choose Concealer

Offering more coverage than a foundation, concealers are ideal for camouflaging facial imperfections. It will neutralize and balance the look of a blemish and those dreaded under-eye circles.

Steps:

1. Consider concealers that are one to two shades lighter than your skin tone. Remember that the idea is to make a darker spot blend into your complexion

2. Select a concealer most appropriate for the area you wish to cover. A creamier version is recommended for the delicate under-eye area, while a drier formula is better suited to other facial skin.

Makeup Tip for concealers

Concealer is best applied after foundation - apply small dots where needed and gently pat into the skin, then wipe with a sponge to remove excess. Concealer can be applied with a sponge flusk or lip brush using the tips. If you feel a little more color is needed add to the spots, and blend again with sponge.

HOW DO I CONCEAL BLEMISHES?

Blemishes like acne scars, pigmented (dark) patches, pits in the skin or dark under-eye patches can be concealed with make-up (use concealers that are available in stick, cake and cream options). Here is how:

To hide acne pits, apply cream or cake-type concealer into the pits, using a fine brush. The concealer should be one shade lighter than the foundation.

To hide dark patches, use a concealer that is one or two shades lighter than the foundation. After concealing, apply normal foundation all over the face and neck.

To conceal dark under-eye circles, it is best to use a foundation and conceal it with a light-toned concealer. Dilute the concealer with a drop of water before applying. Heavy use of concealers can show up lines and wrinkles, so go easy.

If you can't get hold of a good concealer, use foundation instead. In other words, you will need two shades of foundation. One should be close to your skin tone and the other a shade or two lighter. Use the lighter-colored one for concealing.

Perfect make-up is the outcome of trial and error. So keep experimenting till you get it right.
