Oops! Your hand slipped, you got
carried away, or you just went too far. Here's how to fix it!
TOO HEAVY FOUNDATION
* spray your face with a very
fine mist of water and blot with a tissue
* blend with a damp makeup
sponge
* dab a little moisturizer on
your fingers and blend all over your face
OVER POWDERED FACE
* whisk away excess powder with a
brush
* lightly spray your face with
a fine mist of water
CAKEY CONCEALER
* dab a little moisturizer
onto area and blend
OVER-COLORED EYEBROWS
* brush in a little loose
powder, or use a hard toothbrush lightly coated
with a neutral eye shadow and
comb upward
TOO DARK EYE SHADOW
* blend loose powder over the lid
* using an eye shadow brush
blend a lighter colored eye shadow over the lid
HARD LOOKING EYELINER
* cover the line with loose
powder or a lighter shade of eye shadow
or
* blend over the area with a
brush or sponge-tip applicator (dry or damp)
CLUMPY EYELASHES
* use a lash comb to remove
clumps
MASCARA SMUDGE
* dampen a cotton square or
swab with water or non-oily eye makeup
remover and press onto the smudge
with a blotting motion
TOO MUCH BLUSH
* blend loose powder over blush
or
* use a cotton square to pick up
a bit of the color
TOO DARK LIPSTICK
* blot and then top-coat with a
lighter shade of lipstick
or
* blot it down to a stain,
putting lip gloss or lip balm on top
to make it look natural
LOPSIDED LIPSTICK
* clean up anything over the
lip line with a sponge wedge or
cotton pad (dipped in makeup
remover if necessary).
* reapply foundation, if
needed, with the edge of a sponge, then
redefine lip border with a brush.
